| al-wadi...from? does it really matter where? at any moment the border could shift and his hometown could be in a completely different province, country, zone, continent...whatever. if he has to be from anywhere, let's just say he claims the Middle East (a historical and political region of Afro-Eurasia with no clear boundries). al-wadi skips continents with his country men or "curry brothers" (as he likes to call them) throughout the globe. "Switch ya turban up?" is another al-wadiism. none too sure what it means, but he's been known to use it as an exclamation of frustration when debating closed minded individuals. | |
